The Middle East is an area where vehicle is king and fuel is cheap, often leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly ways of walking around.

But this year, as demonstrations across the Middle East have actually risen the price of oil, the concern of finding alternative of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In an area that has one of the highest carbon footprints on the planet, one company is benefiting from the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's established the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing successful too, already their client-list contains McDonald's.
