MP backs biodiesel tax break campaign

Liberal Democrat George is backing a campaign to keep tax breaks for business who produce biodiesel.
Producers transforming cooking oil into biodiesel presently benefit from a 20p differential but that is because of end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been meeting the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George stated "a variety of small companies in Cornwall currently generate income from utilized cooking oil".
He added: "In order to have the ability to get this kind of market going it does require just a bit of lift which is available in the type of tax foregone."
Biodiesel is a mix of traditional diesel, rapeseed and veggie oils.
